I know this must be basic stuff for Office gurus, but how do I change the title of the Column to a title of my choice?
Thanks in advance,

um... the column is always going to be "A" - just put column titles in a row.
(If you're just dealing with a long list, you might find things easier if you use the list wizard)

Is this even possible? If so, I've never done that personally...why do you want this?

I'm just tryin' to create a list for my 400 disc changer. But I want the numbers on the left to stay put so I can rearrange the changer and then change the list accordingly, or vice-versa.
Otherwise, I gotta what, enter in each goddamn number individually?
And if I can print the row number, I gotta print the Column A, Column B
and so forth along with it?
See what I'm getting at?
Thanks though.

And you shouldn't use the numbers on the left to be your "disk" numbers.
For example: you can put your column titles in row 1, including a column called "disc number" then you can enter numbers for the column starting with the number "1" in row 2, etc. (No you don't have to enter them individually, you can enter a formula in (e.g.) B3 reading "=B2+1" - then do a quick "fill down" and then convert the formulas into hard numbers)
Again - check out the "list wizard" it'll will help you do what you want.

You can name cells, i.e., Q1, Q2, Q, Q4 and then refer by that name sum(q1,q2,q3,q4) but the letter on the columns and the numbers on the rows remain.
You should have a little text box on the forumla toolbar right before the x and fx, (I'm doing this while viewing excel on the pc, it may be a tad different for the mac flavor) just type in there when you are on the correct cell.
