Both iChat AV and Vonage use port 5090. I think iChat only uses it for AV, not for texting.

Has anybody got Vonage and video iChats working through the same internet connection? A cable modem, in my case.

Are Vonage and iChat AV incompatible?

So how did you set up your router? Is the Vonage kit plugged into the Cable Modem? Or does your router go between?

I'm just wondering how the traffic on port 5090 gets sent to the right place - the Vonage unit for telephone, to iChat for A/V.

Is the Vonage kit smart enough to forward it on when there's no phone call?
