Suddenly this evening Eudora unexpected quits while checking mail.
Eudora 6.1.1/ OSX10.3.5 - The begining of the crash log follows.

Could it be that the mail server is not responding?
I can log into the server with IE.

The Eudora task progress window shows that the client connects to the mail server after which STAT appears. Then after a short wait Eudora quits.

If this is the case, open the Spool Folder and delete In.tmp (and
presumably Out.tmp), and the problem should be resolved -- at least it
was for me.

I am putting this out here for future archival and hope that it helps
others who may have an issue similar to mine.
