In the newest Excel version, whenever I paste something, a little button pops up to let me format the active cell. Personally I find this feature very annoying to say the least, but haven't yet found a way to disable it.
Can anyone help ?

Preferences -> Edit -> Uncheck show paste options buttons.

I agree for the most part on the annoyingness of this feature. It can sometimes be useful but the implementation is very buggy in Excel 2004 and they STILL haven't released any updates ... the whole package is sooo much slower than Office v.X!
