I am doing a kind of independent study for a college class, using Flash MX I must create a 2D video game. I was thinking something really easy or something. Anyway I need to know if anybody knows action script or where I could find out stuff about the programming language? I know how to animate in Flash but know next to nothing about scripting. Books, websites, advice...I'll take any of it.

Well Actionscript is basically Javascript, both of which are based on the ECMA Script 4 standard, so any books on that would help in Flash, as would any more general OOP (Object Oriented Programming) books, especially those dealing with Java.
