I have Acorbat 6.O Pro. I'd like to edit existing PDF documents, like adding a header or footer. Are there PDF editors that can do this? Can I do this in Acrobat 6.? Sorry, just looking for a quick answer beacuse I haven't had the time to delve into Acrobat 6.0
It seems problematic just add a simple line of text, even in an Open pdf file in
Acrobat.

acrobat pro should let you edit pdf files.
