Updating Office v.X to 2004, any advice?

Hi there, I am going to update my Office v.X software to the 2004 version ('finally available' here in Spain), I would like if you could give me some advice, or maybe is it going to be a nice guy and keep all my valuable info? (being my main worry Entourage).

Just run the set-up assistant in Entourage:2004 and you'll be fine...
Easy upgrade.

Keep PowerPoint X on your hard drive. PowerPoint 2004 has a major problems -- very slow and cannot play embedded video in slide show mode.

Upgrade done, but Entourage lacks the inbox messages I had (I still have them on Entourage v.X), weird.

I would have advised you not to upgrade. I've found Word 2004 to be unbearably slow, to the point where it was near impossible to type. Word X is far quicker.
You can probably import those mailboxes in (in fact I think the easiest way is to find the mailbox file and drag it into the sidebar of Entourage).

That's interesting about Word's speed. I upgraded from Office 2001 directly to Office 2004. I have never noticed the slow down in Word.
