When I click on a RealPlayer link in Safari the .rm metafile is downloaded, but RealPlayer does not launch to play the stream.

No problems opening streams with IE or the RealPlayer built-in browser.

Incidently, I have had this problem since Jaguar with the previous version of RP, and with the RP10beta on Panther...

Apple and Real don't like each other. Remember the iPod hack.

Safari launches RealPlayer if "Open safe files after download" is turned on in the preferences.

Safari is the my only browser that will launch RealPlayer files. Camino and Firefox just download a metafile that seems to be useless.

Try resetting RealPlayer (in its Help menu) to make it remove and re-save all of its media type settings; web browsers are supposed to respect those settings, though there's no guarantee that they will.

You can avoid the problem by using RealPlayer's browser windows to click the audio and video links.
