I know that Apple posted a new version of Virex for .Mac members (7.5), but then they pulled it. That was a few months back. On the .Mac site, they stil link to the old version (7.2).

Does anyone know the status of 7.5 or when it may return?
What was wrong with 7.5?

I'd say McAfee is more to blame than Apple. What, they didn't realize the format the two biggest e-mail clients use to store their e-mail DBs? Sounds like bad QA to me. Apple's mistake was trusting the idiots that made the software.

The version available for download is the best version out there. For now, at least.

Oh, and to the above poster who blames Apple, it's not Apple's software. They just released it through the .Mac site.
