Hi people-

Just noticed there is an optical in / out on the back of my G5....

I would love to capture some old tracks of MiniDisc, and turn them into MP3's....

Does anyone know how to do this? Is there any free software I can download to do it?

I don't have a G5, but I believe any application which can record sound should be able to record from the optical input. You should be able to set it up in the Sound prefPane...

Audio Recorder 1.4 claims to record audio from any input listed in the Sound prefPane. I'd try that.
