I hope they support Series 40 soon. The 6230 is probably the world's most popular phone right now - Nokia was running out of parts to make them - and I want one too! My 6820 is also unsupported. Very frustrating. Seems like the newer Series 60 phones such as the 6620 are also unsupported by iSync.
I sent some feedback to Apple and Nokia. Of course, the silence from Apple was deafening. Nokia had the courtesy to reply. Here's part of it:
We value your loyalty to Nokia, and we welcome your continued patronage. We are sorry that we are unable to provide you with software that is compatible with your computer's Operating System. We appreciate your desire to utilize Nokia software that is Macintosh compatible.
We periodically check demographic information and customer feedback to determine marketing trends. Your opinion as a stock holder is important to us, and we take your comments seriously. Please know that we have forwarded your comments to the appropriate department for review.
We apologize that we do not have additional information to provide you in this matter, and regret any inconvenience this may cause.
Of course, they don't get it. I don't want Nokia software. I want them to work with Apple so that iSync works!
For the 6230 the next best thing I've found is PhoneDirector, which you can get at
http://www.macmedia..sk/ It also works well enough (the address book sync) with the 6820. It's not iSync, but much better than nothing.
