Hey folks,

My wife tried to send a huge attachment using Mail and after several minutes of waiting, she force quit. Well, ever since the app has been hard at work (presumably trying to send the file) whenever we open it and to close we must force quit.

The both is, that it can't send any other emails while this madness continues, so does anyone know how I can tell it to give up and forget about sending the long forgotten email?

try looking at the activity monitor (you can click on the little spinny-dial thing, or open it from the window menu), and hitting the relevent stop sign.

maybe you could disable your network connection, then launch mail - it won't be able to establish a connection to start the sending of the message....then go into the "out" box and from there you should be able to delete the message.
