I just installed the newest SU from Apple, and I am having trouble with Mail and Safari. Mail is constantly asking for passwords and going offline and Safari isn't connecting to sites properly. Sometimes I have to reload twice to get a site to pop up. I read somewhere that requesting a new DHCP lease might help with this problem. How do you do this and what are the ramifications? I have an eMac without an AP card hooked to a cable router and an iBook with an AP card. Thanks for any help. I have restarted, run crons and fsck -f.
W....liar or idiot? Pick two.

I'm having the same issue with Mail.

I tried removing my Users and Passwords in Keychain with no resolution...

Anyone?

Macfixit is listing a number of strange issues...
Some of the problems with safari/surfing were fixed by flushing a cache.
Type the following in the terminal:

lookupd -flushcache

(I haven't installed the latests update)

I've had similar problems.
Just went to Mail > Preferences > Accounts and redefined Server Outgoing Mail SMTP (mine jumped to .mac while it should read the internet provider).

Ok, I trried both of your suggestions. None worked...

Mail was looking for chilren, I'm thinking passwords.
would error out and go off line.

I tried and tried last night looking online for a fix.
This morning email sort of works? Sort of works meaning,
email prompts me for mt password everytime. I have the
passwords saved in my keychain....? Still prompts for password.

This is so aggravating.
