A fellow teacher found a PDF that she would like to use in a PowerPoint for her students. She does not want the entire PDF just about 3 pages of it. We can't copy any of the PDF to paste into PowerPoint. Is there any way to do this? Thanks

If you have access to Adobe Acrobat Professional, you should be able to extract the pages you need from the PDF.

Or if it's merely graphs or charts from a PDF you want, you could probably take a screen shot of each page you need and paste that into your Powerpoint.

If you don't have access to Acrobat Pro, send me an email (it's in my profile) and I'll be happy to extract the pages you need.

Adobe Acrobat Pro is unnecessary if you are running 10.3. Open the pdf with Preview (if its not set to open with Preview, then use 'Open With' or drag it over the Preview icon).

Scroll down to a page you want and choose File->Export and choose the format you want (jpeg .. whatever). You'll get a message to the effect that "this format doesn't support a multi-page export, only the current page will be exported). Hit OK and that single page of the pdf will be exported to jpeg (regardless of whether its text or graphics). Repeat for the other 2 pages. Done. Trim or amend the jpg in whatever tool you would normally use for graphics if you don't want the full page (also, if you want a simple crop .. Preview or iPhoto will do this).
