i have a file with an .MPG extension, but in the name it has "SVCD"

anybody know how can i burn this file so i can watch it in my stand alone dvd player?

ive tried with toast, choosing the Video option and then using each option (Video CD, Super Video CD and DVD-Video) but the file have an "unknown format"

any suggestions?
