I've been trying to figure out how to do this. I've tried restarting the virtual machine and holding down either F6 or F8 while the machine boots up with no success. Is there some trick to this?
Ah, never mind. You can't get to Safe Mode from a restart. You have to shut down the machine and start from scratch.
