I wanted to participate in a live auction today that had two or three 1.8 Ghz dual G5s (2 GB RAM and 160 GB HD) up for auction. I registered at the site, checked the system compatibility (which said that OS X and Safari are supported), and then logged in to view and bid at the auction.
The auction window opened and the auction's banner appears but not image or audio appears.
A company called NAALive <
http://www.naalive.com/> provides the software for the auction. All that is required for it to work is "any system that correctly supports HTML 4 / XHTML 1+ standards as well as supporting Sun's Java Runtime Environment 1.4.1."
Has anyone participated in a NAALive auction using a Mac? I'm wondering what's preventing the image and audio from loading. Perhaps the latest security updates from Apple broke something.
Meanwhile, the first dual 1.8 Ghz G5 has sold for $1500 CAD.
