Hello everybody,

I'm looking for abstract, animated screensavers. I also like fractal-savers.

15 years ago, i had an screensaver on my mac. And it was like the oil-effect in an soapbubble. Or call it an chemical, or psychedelic effect. That was beautifull! Fluid (look for my signature) comes near to this. But i want to know, if there are mabye more screensavers like this.

Animated fractal-savers are also beautifull. I allready have Fracture (Macupdate). But that one is to simple for me.
Square-screensavers aren't also what not what i'm looking for.
In my signature, i give you allready my 2 screensaver-tips.

not quite what you've mentioned, but the most impressive screensaver i've seen,
here
"At first, there was Nothing. Then Nothing inverted itself and became Something.
And that is what you all are: inverted Nothings...with potential" (Sun Ra)

I was about to recommend Fluid, but now I see you have it. I think it probably is the best. Many people have seen that on my Mac and been amazed. So many options as well.

Helios is another that you can produce some great effects with by messing around for a bit. Quite fluidic as well.

Believe it or not I have found some great screensavers at apple's website. I like the fact that they have screen shots for everything too. Take a look here for a full listing.

Probably the best I've seen yet, with a handy tool to use QuickTime movies as screensavers as well, can be found here. And all free and with sourcecode available too!

if you have 30$ to spare, this is an awesome app. very very cool and smooth even on my G4. the look on people's face when i show them this running on a 'measly mac' is worth the 30$ entrance fee alone.
