I've been searching for a heck of a long time now for something similiar to SoundEdit but for Mac OS X. In short, the things I want this audio app to be to do is to be able to have different 'tracks' so I can for example have one sound play in one track and then add some vocals or sound effects or whatever to another track, like SoundEdit could. Am I blind or are there no good apps like this on X??

Both these sites list many multitrack sequencers for OSX.

Sound Studio apears to be single track only (correct me if I'm wrong). It's an audio file editor. The original poster was looking for a multitrack environment where he can have multiple tracks of audio going at once.

Oops. I read that as the poster wanted a stereo .wav editor where he/she could have sound on one channel and vox on another.

In that case, what's wrong with Garage Band?
