This is a new one. This evening when I launch Mail and nothing else, it's using 96% of the CPU (Activity Viewer gets the other 4%.) and the fans in my PowerBook start up and run full speed. Quit Mail and everything cools off. Ever heard of such a thing? A reboot doesn't seem to help. OS 10.3.5.

between 23 and 24 hours because mail.app has a bug with saving daylight settings. This repeats every year if the bug will not be fixed (check by changing date).
