iPod not connecting after iTunes 4.7

My iPod isn't triggering iTunes to launch. I've tried rebooting the iPod, both on and off the connection, and it's not helping. I connect the iPod, it says "Do Not Disconnect", but iTunes won't launch. If I manually launch iTunes, it doesn't see the iPod.

What else can I try? Anyone else seeing thing?

My PowerMac G5 had a kernel panic tonight. Rebooted it, now iTunes works. Hmm.
