One of my friends here in Japan runs a music recording studio and video editing business. He has a lot of trouble running FCP, latest registered version, on both of his dual machines, an 800 QS and a MMD 1.25GHz, both G4s, the application crashes or causes kernal panics. His workaround has been to do that work on his 1GHz Powerbook! !
Has anyone else had trouble with FCP on a dual G4? Or is this a machine specific problem? The 800 QS is known to be tempermental but the MMD Tower should be OK. Maybe he has some bad RAM etc? Any opinions or FCP experiance appreciated.
