So I just realized the other day that in Mail, you can click on those tiny icons next to messages (that notify you if you've forwarded or replied) and it will automatically bring up the forward or reply message. So I tried it on a whole bunch of messages, and on every single one it complains that it was unable to find the response. I know for a fact all those message are sitting untouched in my "Sent" folder. Anyone know why this would have happened, and more importantly, how to fix it?

Try a rebuild Mailbox ...
Expand triangle on In box if necessary ... pick account .. then go under Mailbox and rebuild ..
I guess you could drag the old prefs to the desktop ... also

User/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist

There's also a "message sorting" plist in the Mail folder but I don't know what it does or if you should fool with it ... maybe someone else can let us know ...

Tried rebuilding . . . didn't solve the problem. Must be some bug in Mail, I'm surprised I haven't heard more about it before . . .
