You could always use Blogger.com ( http://www.blogger.com). It's web based, but both Mac and PC folks can use it. You can add multiple users to a single blog so both of you could post to the same one & even have seperate ones on the side, should you so desire. And it's free! Haha.
I suspect, however, that you might be looking for an acutal application that runs on both platforms. Is that correct?

Thanks, RedHerring;
You're correct: I am looking for a x-platform app. My plan was for us to get a domain name, and host somewhere like GoDaddy, and be able to independently edit our bits. I can create pages and style sheets; she doesn't have this skill right now.
the only advantage I can see to blog sites or blogware is the ease of adding to and updating without having to reconfigure the whole thing manually, which is a huge plus for me...

You can set blogger.com to host on a site of your choice. So, if you get a webserver somewhere, you can setup FTP on it and have blogger.com publish your blog on the server whenever you update it. Works great for me.
