Hey all

I need some help on how to use multiple Video_TS folders, etc. with Toast.

I have two videos, each encoded into a resulting VIDEO_TS folders, and I'd like to put them both on a DVD and have each be a chapter/whatever. My first attempt was to create the DVD disc then add the two folders -- but that resulted in a coaster.

I'm assuming that you can only have ONE Video_TS folder on the disc, so if that's the case, how do I go about adding two (or more) movies? If I use the VOB files, they're all named the same, so what do I do about that?

Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

TIA,
Maury

I've had pretty good results by using iMovie to edit movies I want to put on the same DVD. After editing and saving each movie in iMovie, I then open Toast and add each of the QuickTime movie files from their respective iMovie folders.(I stay away from iDVD and let Toast do the encoding)

Each of the QuickTime movie chapters can then be edited in Toast to have the appearance and title you want before you burn them.

Good luck,
Matt

Use BBdemux to convert all the VOBs into their individual video (m2v) and audio (ac3 most likely, though could be m2a or m1a) files, then use Toast's DVD-Video option to re-author the DVD and menus from scratch. That to me would be the easiest, dunno if anyone else wants to chime in.

I got it figured out. Oddly, you don't use the DVD-Video from VIDEO_TS option, you simply use the DVD-Video setting. Then, just drag the TS folders onto the interface, set the names, and burn.

Go figure not using the VIDEO_Ts setting when using VIDEO_TS data.

Thanks,
Maury

I'm curious.. will it affect the quality? Like converted from VOB to m2v and ac3, then re-encode the materials in Toast.
