A few days ago, I was trying to backup my songs from the iPod as I'm getting an ipod Photo. I kept having trouble with Podutil, which I figured was because of iTunes 4,7. So I looked around and tried double helix. It recovered the songs but it seems that it stripped the ID3 tags around
The upshot is I have a couple of hundred songs that I can't import back into iTunes.

So, does anyone have any recommendations on an editor that I can use (without iTunes) so I can get all of my music back. Thanks.

PS, none of the music is from dodgy sources. Some from iTMS, some from ripped CDs. Thanks.

Why not try once more to copy the music from the iPod?

The easiest way is to just drag the invisible music folder on the iPod to iTunes which will copy and organize it all automatically (and not strip the tags )
