I don't know how many of you are familiar with SafariSpeed, but it is a piece of software that automates the speeding up of Safari by removing the page loading delay.

I have developed a new version of the software that adds support for purging and disabling favorite icons, another optimization that helps to speed up the browser.

I'm looking for people who are willing to test and critique this new version of the software before I release it.

You can download it: http://www.scifience.net/downloads/S...ed1.2Beta1.dmg

and unlock it with password: bakasan

Please let me know what you think and how it works for you. Thanks!

trying it now.
seems cool; definitely faster page loading.
previously, i had a problem with a site loading incorrectly...
& had disabled the earlier version of safarispeed.

i set my "favicon" folder to read only, but think it's a great addition to your app; but does it delete the million icons that may already be sitting in that folder?

will report again...

Yes, it deletes all the icons currently in the folder and redirects the folder to /dev/null, effectively sending any new icons into a black hole.
