So what's new with Acrobat 7?

Build intelligent forms with Adobe LiveCycle™ Designer software (Windows® only)
Retain layers and object data in technical drawings (Windows only)
Manage specialized content from Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer, Access, and Publisher (Windows only)
Manage specialized content from AutoCAD®, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project (Windows only)
Hmmm... somehow, not really compelling. And in half a year it'll be included in CS2 anyway.

And if we're lucky, it'll litter our Documents folder with more unnecessary folders.

Adobe has gotten really bad about adding fairly minor features and selling them as a new version number at whole price. They're becoming quite Microsoft-ish about that.
I see nothing compelling about upgrading from version 6 (I use v6 Professional).

Yeah, that seems to be the trend with monopolies these days.
Seriously though, Adobe can put out good products if they want with significant feature upgrades. InDesign is a good example of how well they operate in a non-monopoly market. I love it. Acrobat and PS, while good, are a bit lacking when it comes to new, useful features.

It just goes to show how little Adobe cares about the Mac platform

Acrobat 6 is hell slow. It is buggy and takes years to start up. Preview is better in all aspects. But I need acrobat for a few advanced features like editing. the bottom line? Acrobat 6 sucks and so will 7 if they do not fix the speed issues.

But they will, or did. I'd bet a nice bottle of red that they managed to make it a good deal slower. 6.0 was atrocious, 6.0.2 is sort of bearable.
I'm using Pro, and have not seen even one feature compelling me to upgrade.
Pfff!

I see many of the Windows Only features as Adobe attacking Microsoft.
I haven't seen one reason to upgrade to v7 (other then potentially having a consistent icon... which hasn't been seen yet)
