Guys,

I'll be traveling a fair bit over the holidays, and I'd like to rip some audio tracks from DVDs (director comments and interviews and such) for those long flights. I saw some threads on this somewhere else, and was wondering if anyone here could recommend some good software for this purpose? Freeware or commercial, either way is good for me.

Thanks in advance.

a52decX will convert AC3 files ripped from a DVD. Of course, to rip and unencrypt the AC3 audio from.vob files in the first place you will need something such as MacTheRipper or OSEx.

Audio Hijack Pro (I believe there's a lite version, too, but I can't remember the distinctions between the two).

I have Audio Hijack, which works great. There's another software that's free, that will probably do the trick too. I BELIEVE it's called wiretap. Sorry I didn't include links, but you'll be sure to find both on version tracker.

use this:

DVDBackup (Free)

then this:

Cinematize ($59.95)

I found this the easiest and best way, others may have different opinions.
