I've only been using a Mac for about a year now, so I'm wondering if anyone out there remembers the last time Yahoo updated messenger on the Mac? The current version is awful - horribly unstable and ugly as sin!

The windows version got a big overhaul not to long ago, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the Mac version might get some attention now.

But seriously... when was the last time that gawd-forsaken thing was updated?

Yahoo! Messenger was last updated on 2003-09-24.

though some of the 3rd party clients are nice .... they ALL don't have Video/Audio chatting ....


Yahoo needs to update their client [preferably ASAP]!

Haha... Adium is what I'm using currently As far as 3rd party IMs go, it's definitely the best!

I'm just curious about Yahoo because 99.5% of the people I IM are using the Windows version of Y! messenger... and they're always doing things and saying "did you see that... did that work... why didn't you get that"... so obviously I'm missing something... haha. Plus, as someone else mentioned, the whole a/v thing is a *small* issue for me.

Anyone else notice how nazi-esq Yahoo is about NOT having any way to contact them? I spent a good half hour searching their website yesterday and all I found was some generic web form... haha... sneaky little devils
