Newbie style question:

With only the Apple firewall operational, every browser I use (except Safari)
Omni, firefox camino. etc... all call home or try to make an outside connection
when I click a URL on launching the browser. If I open a browser and leave it
with a blank window it calls home. but if I click any URL it will ask to connect
to that URL, but will not ask again.

What is a safe point to initially connect to - or for those who use 'Little Snitch' what's
the right connection point to allow for all browsers ?

Simple Empire...

Uh... That's because most URLs ARE outside connections. The Internet is on the other side of your modem, so your browser MUST go "outside" to load a page.

Either you're not clear on that, or I've misunderstood your question.
