A new Bit Torrent fad currently running amok is something called "Broadcatching", where you setup Bit Torrent with an RSS feed to download broadcast television shows automatically. the idea is essentially a Bit Torrent-based TiVo system. Currently the best way to do this mac-wise is through the Azureus Java BT client, but as most of you know Azureus kinda sucks on the Mac, not to mention the overall architecture of the app is sorta poor.
I would love to see a streamlined Broadcatching application built from the ground up to work in Mac OS X, complete with sexy interface and easy to setup filters for selecting shows. Is anyone else currently broadcatching or is interested in such an application? I have no programming prowess, I am just interested in seeing who else is excited with this new trend and would like to see some direct Mac backing.
