surprised not to see a thread on this. anyone try it yet?

http://iemulator.com/

It looks like its a frontend for QEMU, not BOCHS, so it could have some potential.

It would be nice if there were some sort of demo, even if it is legitimate.

However, I think at this price point it would be extremely well received by people who only need to open the odd PC file every now and again, or run bloody stupid ActiveX dependant apps.

Isn't it just QEMU with a nice front-end slapped on it?

Is iEmulator based on the BOCHS emulator?
No! BOCHS is a fantastic, flexible effort, but we found it to be too slow to be "day-to-day usable" on the majority of hardware we tested with. In all of the tests we've tried, our solution, based on the powerful qemu codebase, runs significantly quicker!

Yes.
What the nerd community most often fail to realize is that all features aren't equal. A well implemented and well integrated feature in a convenient interface is worth way more than the same feature implemented crappy, or accessed through a annoying interface.
