Hey All

Was wondering if I DownLoad from the iTunes store can these songs be burned as MP3's??? The Apple WebSites is kind of confusing, in one sentence it says YES then another says NO. I Don't want to buy and download if I can't burn them as MP3's... Why Waste My Money buying something if I can't use it. I need the songs as MP3's so I can play them in my Car on my CD player, and my portable CD player.

Thanks!!!

Brad

Well, no, and yes.

The iTunes Music Store downloads are not im mp3 format, but rather in AAC (which sounds better at the same filesize and incorporates the digital rights management stuff)

You can't burn AACs to mp3 disc because, well, they're not mp3s.

HOWEVER: You CAN convert them to mp3, though you need to burn them as a regular AUDIO CD first and then re-import them as mp3, since iTunes won't allow direct conversion of copy-protected AAC files. This will result in a more or less audible (depending on you, but not very relevant for a discman or the car) loss in quality.
