Has anyone ever heard of any custom wireless menubar items? Apple's is OK but what I really want is something that works just like Apple's Airport menu, except for the addition that it uses the mail.app style of red circle, telling you at all time how many wireless networks it is picking up. That would be so useful. Anyone heard of such an item?

Thats a really good idea, never heard of an app that does it. I would send it to Apple feedback, sounds like aomething they should add.
