I went to a financial site last night and was told that I needed to upgrade my version of Safari. I checked About and it said version 1.0. This was strange, because I have kept up with the updates and I confirmed that I had downloaded 1.2 awhile ago.

I went to Apple, downloaded and installed the lastest version, restarted, and the version still says 1.0 and I fail at the web site with the same problem.

I searched the Forum and didn't find an answer to this. I suppose it is user error, but wanted to check. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Is your copy of Safari under "Applications"? Or have you moved into another folder or something?

Just wondering.

*DOH* Yes. It was user error. Your comment made me look around a bit and I found the Alias on my desktop was of the old Safari. When I launched it from Applications, it was fine. I don't know why I had it on the desktop in the first place. Problem solved. Thanks!

Sounds like you may have both versions actually then if the alias did indeed launch v1.2...you may want to delete the older version if it's still around.
