Hey all... I have all my old school documents on my hd, but I can't open them since they're clarisworks documents. Anybody have a fix?

I have no idea if you can make OSX itself open things in text edit, or something, but here are a few ideas.

I take it you don't have appleworks? Do you have the old "claris works" installation disks?

MacLink Plus is a program that opens and converts all kinds of files from one format to another. That's an option, too.

Perhaps you can purchase the old programs on ebay.

Good luck

AppleWorks should be able to open these since AppleWorks = ClarisWorks

No it isn't. But it comes for free with the iMac, iBook and eMac.

Hrm. Well, I don't know where my original CDs are at the moment, but I found a work around >cough< torrent >cough<.

Think I'll export all my files to word docs and delete appleworks all together.
