recently upgraded my g5 imac to 10.3.6 and also installed the latest security update.

the only problem the i have had so far is that fireworks wont open, the icon bounces in the dock and then an error message comes up. all my other macromedia studio programs run fine. i haven't seen anything specific as yet on the macromedia page and have had a bit of search around the web.

i downloaded a patch that is for users switching from 10.2 to 10.3 that experience a simialr problem, will try that.

anyone had a similar problem or know where to get support/downloads??

if the patch doesn't work, it didn't for me, you'll have to do a clean install of the OS then reinstall the Macromedia Apps.

This seems to be a known issue for some Macromedia apps. I had that problem with Contribute recently. I had to delete some prefs, reinstall the app, then login as root and launch it. After that, it worked fine from a regular (admin) usera ccount.
