I'm having some problems getting mail from my gmail account via Apple's Mail. Although I've followed gmail's instructions on how to set up a POP account, Mail keeps telling me that the pop server "pop.gmail.com" rejected the password for user "ellmichaels@gmail.com". I have set up the account several times and double checked that everything is enabled. My password is 100% correct and I have changed it several times to see if it makes a difference...which it doesnt! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are several other discussions about this in these forums and it seems like it's not just you that's experiencing a problem. There's really not much that can be done about it - it seems to be a problem with Gmail, and since Gmail is still a beta, we'll just have to assume it's something they're working on.

One, it's in the software forum, and it's not a software issue.
Two, as mentioned above, there are other threads on this.
Three, as mentioned above, gmail is still beta.
Four, if the problems get to be too much, just set gmail to forward mail to Mail.app until the problem is fixed properly.
