Ive had my powerbook for about 6 months and always have used my digital camera, Sony DSC-W1, to import to iPhoto which always worked pretty smoothly, however after the most recent iPhoto update iphoto wont even recognise my camera, i have to manually take the pictures off the camera through the desktop.
I checked the apple support site and my camera isnt on the compatibility list. It doesnt make sense why this is. My camera is pretty new and i dont see why apple would stop support on a fairly recent camera model.
Is there anyway to get these two compatible or will i have to roll back to the previous version of iphoto?
Try running Disk Utilitiy and repair disk permissions (should be done after any software installation or update). Additionally, I would run the COMBO updater for the system level you are currently at, followed by another permissions repair.
Unless you're uploading from your camera to your PB in the field, I recommend using a card reader and uploading manually. It will lessen battery drain on the camera, prevent possible erasures of the camera (if you have that option selected) after incomplete uploads. That has happened to others.
