I've searched around for some tools and so far nothing. It would be nice if iPhoto could rename the file names the same as the names in my library or something like that. iPhoto cds are nice but unfortunately not everyone has iPhoto to view those.

What are you trying to do? If you want to share photos on a CD with others, don't use the "burn" from within iPhoto. That is basically meant to burn your library to a cd, probably for backup purposes and the like. If you are wanting to share your photos, first export them from within iPhoto(perhaps to the desktop or wherever)and then use Toast or disk utility or such to burn them to a CD. Then everyone (or at least most everyone) will be aboe to view them, along with the names you have given them in iPhoto.

Don't use the iPhoto library in the Finder to do ANYTHING -- it's iPhoto's way of keeping up with things, and if you mess with it, you will certainly be sorry. Spoken from one with personal experience! Forget that that file exists and you will be fine - just do whatever you want to do from within iPhoto.

well for example i wanted to make a cd.. so dragged all the files of the pictures to the desktop... great, except they're all named horrible names and some are even named the same name in other folders and giving me errors when i try to copy.

You can select all the photoes that you want exported, and click on "File", "Export" and make sure that under the Name box, "Use title" is selected. The photo files will have the names from what their titles in Iphoto are
