Graphics/pictures in "commercial" emails don't open. Not even when I double click the the generic icon which appears where yhr graphic should appear. How do I fix this?

I would verify under your e-mail preferences that you don't have it set to only download "partial" attachments.

This is intentional. Some spam emails use web-based graphics to check and see if you are reading spam. They use this information to justify their existence and further tailor their junk. When you open the email there should be a little message just beneath the tool bar saying "this message has been partially downloaded. Get entire message". Click on "get entire message"
