Okay i have a aol account on my pc that i havent used since i got my powerbook back in september, i use my aim account with ichat the most, so i dont really wanna get rid of my name, however i use gmail as my email and since its free anda=wesome i dont use my aolo email account.


Heres the big question: if i get rid of my aol...cna i still have my screename used on ichat or do i need to make a aim only screename

Should work. Unless they instituted a policy since I tried it one time.

Although AOL lets you upgrade an AIM screenname to an AOL one, they do not generally do the reverse. I've seen them do it for employees who had been with the company five years or more, but I got the impression that it wasn't easy for them to do, which is why they don't do it for just anybody.
