System: Mac OS 10.3.6, Epson R300 Printer, Epson Perfection 1200 Scanner, Reader v 6.0.2
Problem: Cannot print scanned PDFs. I get the following error message in print utility: “pstopdffilter/pstocupstraster failed with err number -3100” The printer works on all other documents.
I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled Reader 6.0.2, uninstalled and reinstalled the printer drivers and updated the scanner drivers. Scanner and printer drivers are current. The scanner/printer was working OK a week or so ago. I can print PDFs that were done prior to this problem. I can print PDFs like screen shots. I can drop the currently scanned item into Preview and it will print. I can scan an item as JPEG and it will print. This appears to be a Reader related problem. I have trashed everything I could find relating to Reader and Adobe but there seems to be corruption somewhere. Can anyone give me clue as to where this error might be coming from, like where the heck pstopdffilter/pstocupstraster might be located?
