I cannot send messages to Eudora (6.2) using my pacbell e-mail account (DSL), or my Softcom (dial-up) account. I am able to receive messages to three e-mail accounts in Eudora, however (to both ISPs).
The error message says: "Error while sending mail for Dara Pacbell: I said: MAIL FROM <andrewsdara@pacbell.net@pop.pacbell.yahoo.com> And then the SMTP server said: 530 authentication required I called both ISPs many times, and they have no clue what to do. MacMail works just fine, both sending and receiving, and both ways with both ISPs.
The main problem is Eudora. Somebody from Tech support recommended that I erase everything and start all over!! I have no idea how to do that with OSX, without messing up the computer.
Are there preferences that I could trash? And where would I find them? Any suggestions please!!! Thanks.
