I installed the new and free Adobe Reader and yes it is really speedy as promised. I like it so much that I want to make it the default PDF reader but I cannot figure out how? Each time I download a PDF the icon on the desktop shows as "Preview" instead of the Adobe PDF. Does anyone know how to make Adobe the default? I have read through Adobe help but I cannot find out how.

You need to read the Mac OS X help. Search for Changing the application that opens a document.

I'm doing this from memory as I'm at work on a peecee, but I think if you do a get info on a pdf document, there should be somthing there to select the app to open that file and a check box to always use that app.
