I am trying to dowload openoffice but my powerbook g4 is telling me that I need x11. I don't have the panther software cds and can't figure out how to dowload it. Help please.

Try NeoOffice instead... it removes the dependency on X11 by tweaking OpenOffice more specifically for MacOS X.

If you'd prefer to use this over NeoOfficeJ, you can download X11 from Apple's site under "software".
