The two i know of that work well enough are Sofa and Fetch Art. I have Synergy--it grabs it, but doesnt add it to itunes (uses it for its own display).

I've been doing the manual adding thing for quite a while now tho, since a lot of the stuff isnt always available from Amazon--so i usually need to grab them from Allmusic or off the label's site. so, i dont know if there is anything better out now.

Fetch Art doesn't work with iTunes 4.7, so that leaves you with Sofa.

Does Sofa attach the album art to the songs?

[I would like a program that kept a seperate cache of the album art, since I don't want it to add size to my music files]

sofa can attach the artwork to the song. but i found that it added regardless of whether the song had an image or not.

i just checked the page now and they mention the bug there. it can overwrite images even on itunes music store songs

That's funny because it works just fine with my copy of iTunes 4.7
