I have a new Sony Steady Shot Hi 8 and an older camera. I record 30 - 60 seconds of video with the tape completely rewound and when I import it to iMovie a lot of the time the video comes in cut up into 3 and 4 second clips not the whole video, and I didn't press standby.

I can't figure it out. What is cutting it up?
