Anyone know of software that is basically a networked SimpleText or TextEdit? Something that can run on a network and allow people to connect to it and type up lists, notes, or whatever.

iCal doesn't work because it doesn't allow people to connect and modify, and student-help doesn't have access to the Entourage database.

SubEthaEdit does do a lot of this, but it does not do styled text. You can use it for free for non-commercial purposes. You would have to leave the file open on one of the computers as they have not (yet?) created a server version.
